SCHOOL EXCURSIONS
The Australian Festival of Chamber Music offers a special deal to schools in Far North Queensland so that students can experience high quality chamber music. Schools can apply through our AFCM Excursions form EOI for highly discounted tickets where available when bringing student groups. Concert Conversations + AFCM Pathways Public Masterclasses (10am to 12pm Mon-Friday, 1pm to 2pm, Bulmba-ja Theatre Mon-Thurs)
AFCM Concert Conversations begin each morning with Artistic Director Jack Liebeck in conversation with guest Festival artists, sharing stories and insights from their musical journeys. Each session is followed by a 45-minute performance, with tea and coffee served. In the AFCM Pathways Public Masterclasses, watch as an AFCM artist coaches an emerging chamber ensemble and shows them how to polish and improve their performances. Recommended by AFCM for music performance students.

Sunset Series + Evenings Series (5pm to 8:45pm, CPAC Theatre)
See the finest performances that AFCM has to offer as part of our Sunset Series (5pm-6pm concert) and Evenings Series (7:30pm-8:45pm). Worksheets for teachers on the concert programming will be available closer to the date. Recommended by AFCM for classroom music students.

AFCM Pathways International Masterclasses Showcase Concert (2pm to 4pm, Bulmba-ja Theatre)
For two weeks, emerging ensembles participate in coaching, instrumental lessons and professional development as part of the Pathways International Masterclasses. This concert showcases the outcome of their hard work and training, showing students where the pathway into music study can lead.
