Dr Eddy Strivens
Eddy is a Cairns-based geriatrician who has worked in the region for three decades, including 17 years as Clinical Director for Older Persons, Sub-Acute and Rehabilitation services. His clinical focus includes integrated care, dementia in acute settings and outreach memory services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Cape York and the Torres Strait. He leads the Healthy Ageing Research Team at James Cook University, with significant grant funding and extensive publications. Eddy was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2023 and previously received the Public Service Medal for his contributions to aged care.
