Wu Qian is an internationally acclaimed pianist, recognised as a classical music ‘bright young star’ byThe Independent. Born in Shanghai, she studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and has since performed widely across Europe, Asia and North America. Her appearances include major recital halls, international festivals and broadcasts for BBC Radio 3, NHK and Phoenix TV. Wu Qian’s recordings have received international acclaim, and she is a prize winner of the Trio di Trieste Duo Competition. A founding member of the award-winning Sitkovetsky Trio, she continues to perform extensively as both a soloist and chamber musician.
