Jude Austen Kaupe is a Brisbane-based horn player currently completing Honours at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, studying with Rachel Silver and Sam Jacobs. He began on trumpet before switching to horn at 14, drawn to its lyrical sound. Jude performs regularly with professional horn sections across Australia and has appeared with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Camerata Chamber Orchestra. His experience includes the Australian Youth Orchestra, Queensland Youth Symphony and Sydney Youth Orchestra, alongside freelance work with the Brisbane Pops Orchestra and The Metropolitan Orchestra. A passionate chamber musician, Jude is a member of Orpheus Quintet and Horn on the Cob, and participated in the Australian Festival of Chamber Music Pathways Program in 2025.
