Kara completed a Bachelor of Flute Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium in 2025,

studying with Emma Sholl. In 2023, she performed as soloist with the Tasmanian Symphony

Orchestra as winner of the TSO Rising Star competition and has performed a recital broadcast

for 3MBS Melbourne. Kara was principal flute of the Sydney Youth Orchestra (2024–25),

previously holding the same position in the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra and has participated in

Australian Youth Orchestra programs. She is a member of the Orpheus Quintet and took part

in the AFCM Pathways program (2025) and a LA Philharmonic Wind Quintet masterclass.
