Joshua Batty is an internationally acclaimed flautist known for his expressive artistry and commitment to expanding the flute’s contemporary voice. A prolific commissioner of new works, he collaborates closely with leading composers and champions new repertoire. Joshua appears regularly as a soloist at leading venues and festivals including play direct with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, recital and chamber music for Musica Viva Australia, at the Ukaria Cultural Centre, Phoenix Central Park,  and Tasmania and Australian Festivals of Chamber Music, amongst many others. His debut album Perfect Imperfections marks a significant milestone in a career spanning performance, education and community engagement.
