Ben Jacks is one of Australia’s most distinguished horn players, internationally recognised for his artistry and technical excellence. He served as Principal Horn of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for 25 seasons and has performed with leading orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic and Australian World Orchestra, working with many of the world’s foremost conductors. A celebrated soloist and chamber musician, he has appeared in major concert halls and festivals worldwide. Ben is Head of Horn Studies at the Australian National Academy of Music and teaches at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, alongside an active international career.
