Jack Liebeck will present his fifth iteration of the Australian Festival of Chamber Musics as Artistic Director in 2026, for the first time in Cairns-Gimuy, with this beautiful city ready to host a thrilling and insightful Festival program.

In addition to being the Artistic Director of AFCM, Jack Liebeck runs his own music festivals - Oxford May Music; the DESY Humboldt Science and Music Series in Hamburg; and Alpine Classics in Grindelwald, Switzerland. He has a great interest in the links between music and science, appearing regularly with luminaries such as Professor Brian Cox, and you’ll find fascinating references to this passion dotted right throughout our 2026 Festival program.
