Tobias Breider has established himself as one of Australia’s most asked for violists in chamber music and regularly collaborates with many of the country’s finest artists and ensembles such as EnsembleQ in Brisbane, the Australia Ensemble, Selby&Friends, Wilma&Friends, the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and the Australia Octet.

Internationally he was invited to perform at festivals in the UK, South Africa, USA, Austria and his native Germany.

He is founding member of the Haveron-Breider-Clerici String Trio.

As a soloist Tobias has appeared at the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Town Hall, City Recital Hall, the Sydney Domain, Parrammatta Park and the Recital Centre Melbourne.

In recitals he toured Queensland and Victoria and has performed at the Sanguine Estate and Bendigo Festivals, the musical Marathons in Melbourne, the Sydney Chamber Music Festival and AFCM.

In 2021 Tobias will make his debut at the Coriole and Goulburn Festivals.

Tobias teaches privately in Sydney,

previous engagements include the Britten/Pears School in Aldeburgh, the Shanghai Academy, Stellenbosch University (South Africa), the Sydney Conservatorium and ANAM.
