There are five fantastic FREE events scheduled throughout AFCM 2022 – and more to come! You won’t need to register to attend these events – simply arrive on the day (first in best seated) and we will check you in on the day.

Festival Garden Concert
This free concert sees visiting musicians perform alongside local groups in our AFCM Festival Garden. Bring your picnic, a rug, or some chairs and enjoy this entertaining concert for all ages. A great selection of food and beverage options will be available in the Festival Garden for purchase.

AFCM Illuminates 2: Goldner’s Celebration

As AFCM’s long-time Quartet-in-Residence, the Goldner String Quartet has played a significant role in the success of the Festival. Named after Richard Goldner, founder of Musica Viva Australia, they launched in 1995, and now in their 27th year, still retain all founding members. Join the Goldners and Jack Liebeck in conversation for a wonderful journey through their musical history.
