Getting There

Maggie is just 20 minutes from the heart of Townsville and features a mainland ferry terminal fully serviced by public transport including city buses, taxis and the airport shuttle. The Island is easily accessible by both passenger ferry and barge. Those travelling by passenger ferry will find a range of transport options available on the Island including public bus services as well as car, mini moke and scooter hire. 

SeaLink Queensland, the ferry passenger service to Magnetic Island, offers up to 18 return services daily in state-of-the-art, high speed catamarans that can have you in paradise in just 20 minutes, just enough time to relax with a drink in air-conditioned comfort while you cruise across the bay. With services running from 5.30am to 12.00am, visiting Magnetic Island has never been easier.
